Describe a typical day of your life.

Everyday I wake up at 5am to get ready to go to school. I take a shower and get dress. By 6:10am I am out the door waiting at the bus stop waiting for the public bus to arrive. Every day I have to get on a bus filled with the people who work at different place around the city. By 6:30 I have arrive at the bus terminal that is up the street from my high school. I have walk about two more blocks before I get to my school. I have to take the early bus to school because the buses that run by my house runs every hour so the next bus would have mad me very late to school. Once I am school I wait and see if any of my friends are there if not I study for any test that I have coming up next. The bell rings at8am to signal us it time for our first period class. I make it though all periods and on my way home again. I have to walk the same two blocks that I previously walk to get to school in the morining to go back home. Once I have made it back home I have to get washed up for my after school snack. ( my mother makes me eat right when I get home because she knows I don't really care for the school lunch) once I am done with the snack I start to do my homework. I am about two hours in my homework I take a break to star on college applications. My older brother who has drop out of college sees fit interupte me to watch his dumb football game. I have no choice but to let him because he keeps nagging me . And I have to delay doing my homework for three hours. When the game is finally done I finish my homework and go to sleep around 1pm in the mooring and then I have to start my kiting all over agin

Semester 9 Essay – prompt # 4: Since the cloning of the sheep Dolly, there has been much debate over whether or not human beings should be cloned. Many people feel this is a violation of the natural order of things and that all research in the area of human cloning should be banned. Others feel that this is a natural progression of science and human evolution and that research in the area of human cloning should be priority. How do you feel about this issue? Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

               Imagine yourself  waking up to get ready to go to your work but  instead of your own self go to a dead job you have a exact carbon copy of yourself to go out to the job that you don’t really like.  Cloning is something that has been on many scientist minds for decades, having the ability to make an exact replica of the human being is seen as the breakthrough of the science world. The process in which an organism is replicated to make another copy is called cloning which by some people’s point of views is ageist the law of nature and it’s what god would not want to happen.

       Hollywood has token the ideal of cloning and used it into several movies such as Gatca, and the island. These movies have both depicted a world which humans make another copy of themselves purely to harvest them to live longer. Some bad things with cloning would be if the person that is being cloned had a mental illness that illness would also be replicated to the clone and that clone would have the same life expectance of the ordinal person. This could be seen a big step back for the people who want to clone people. According to a website called buzzlewebsite another reason why cloning would be bad is “There are many villains in society who would want to disrupt peace and order for their selfish motives. What if these people are able to get scientists to clone Hitler or someone who had a disruptive mind set? These dangerous leaders would come alive and with weapons of mass destruction available today unleash hell on us. Cloning humans will never let the population on earth attain balance. This will lead to depletion of natural resources, places to live and put stress on the ecosystem. This would lead to more fights between people and countries for precious resources like water, coal and food to sustain life.” Having another Hitler just seem very horrible because we would have another world war 3 but with nuclear weapons and that would mean that the world would be at great jeopardy at being destroyed.

            Cloning is something that is still being worked on as we speak and should not be allowed to be used because it is disturbing the natural life cycle of life. If people do not die we will end having a huge surplus of people and no way of feeding them. That could simply lead to a war for the world’s natural sources. So in my personal opinion I think that cloning is a very horrible thing because it goes against the natural law where one person dies and another person lives. Think about the natural order of things before you decide to go and get cloned.

Modern Life without computers.

Modern life without computers would be the day that anarchy for millions around the world. Because we rely so much on the computer to do our day to bases we have become a society that has become purely lazy and sometimes unable to function properly.About 99.2 percent of people all around the world are using computers. 36.2 percent of people using Internet explore, 46.3 percent using FireFox , 10.8 percent using Google chrome, 3.7percent using Safari, and 2.2 percent using opera. With those percents you can see that having or using a computer has become very popular. A world without computers would be like stepping back into the olden years when you had women at work having kids and the men out in the working world. That is a world we look to when we don't see computers. Computers have been the thing that we hold we so highly up on our pedestal of importance in our our lives. Without computers in our lives it would be very hard some people to communicate with others in their family. That would be the biggest thing for everyone if their were no computers in the modern world. We would be forced to talk to the people we try to avoided on a day to day bases.

For centuries, people have wondered about the possibility of life on other planets in the universe. Do you believe extraterrestrial life exists? Write an essay persuading others to share your point of view.

When you go outside at night in your front lawn and look up in the sky and what do you see? You can see the stars and other things. Have you ever wonder if their could be another person just like you across the universe looking at the same sky like you. Copernicus was one of the first to test the waters in which people believed in about the world and the surrounding galaxies.  Copernicus ideals were only the beginning of the revolution during the mid 1700’s in Europe.

             With the increase in technology and the dwelling  water supply more and more scientist around the world are looking to the  sky to see if there are other people with water and natural resources to help us maintain our humanity. The Ecology network wrote an article saying “more than 20.5 light years away exists a planet that is very much like Earth, has its own star and a solid, rocky surface.  It may very well be able to sustain life.  The international team of Swiss, Portuguese and French researchers who discovered the planet in 2007 found it orbiting around diminutive red dwarf star, named Gliese 581, which is located in the constellation Libra.”  With this new found evidence unreal’s the ideal if their was life on another planet how can we communicate with them. The ideal that we could have another society just like us or different is just mind boggling.  Their has been many mission out to of the Milky Way galaxies in search of life and water.  The closet planet that was found to have any life on it some scientist believes we have already killed the life and much find another planet. According to the Seattle PI “The Mars landers did all their chemical analyses by mixing samples with water -- a step that would have prompted a powerful chemical reaction in any microbe full of hydrogen peroxide, killing it and releasing the peroxide.” With that in mind we can only wonder what really happen on Mars and the rover.

                So if we ever come into contact with other species in the other planets. The only thing we have as an outliner of how the world might change is the Star Wars movies. In the movies the United States and the other countries across the world are the as the galaxies of the republic. And aliens with weird tensile are in corpated in everyday society. Did George Lucas give us a glimpse into the future of our lives? So the next time you go outside keep on wondering who is looking at you. One day they may be able to talk back at you.

Semester 8 Essay- Prompt #36: Elementary and secondary around the country are beginning to actively address the problem of bullies. In your own opinion, is bullying an issue that should be addressed by schools or left to parents? Use specific reasons and examples to support your position?

         Everyday around the nation millions of children wake up everyday to get ready for school, once they have arrived at school they could have either a very fun day or a very miserable day filled with different children laughing or making fun of them. This is only the aspects of bullying for children. Now and days many children are becoming victims of bullying and schools are not doing any thing about the bullying until the child is beaten down. Something that was once a passage to becoming a kid is now a killer amongst many children all around the world because a new way is being used to the bully advantages which is the Internet that is connected to everyone around the world.

         I think that bullying should be dealt with both the school and the parent because it is both the school and parents responsibility to make sure the child does not physically, verbally or cyber bully another person. With different types of bullying becoming better known there should be a major crack down with all children. Bullying could easily lead to some Childs death because they suffer being humiliate at school and do not know how to share it with their parents. In a survey down by the  family first aid  “students in grades 6 to 10, 13 percent reported bullying others, 11 percent reported being the target of school bullies, and another 6 percent said they bullied others and were bullied themselves.” The school should punish the child for picking on bullying other children because they put pressure on the other children for being perfect which no one is perfect and Elementary and younger kids do not know that yet so they try to fit in which could sometimes cause death. And it could also cause the child being afraid to go to school and anxious to whenever they go to school which has them loosing concentration in school ,and also has them not paying attention in school and could lead to bad grades.

      For example if their was child that was overweight that attend a normal seize school of about nine hundred students in the student body. That child could get pick on because that child is overweight and society sees people that are overweight as monsters and not normal people. The person that is doing the bullying is sometimes the person that has been the victim in a bullying incident. This could cause them to bully the person that is overweight and new to the school.  Both the school and parents should work together to make sure the child does not bully any one else. I think both sides should work together because the children spend a lot of time at the school and at home so they are able to pick up any thing negatively at both places. If the child knows that treating people in an evil way is bad they would not do the bullying.

Prompt#31- Across the country, public places such as libraries and museums is now smoke- free environments, and restaurants are required to have separate smoking and non-smoking sections. Some smoke- free advocates are now campaigning to ban smoking in all restaurants and bars. Do you think this is a good idea? Why or why not? Use specific reasons and examples to support your position.

           Smoking and Alcohol are two very bad combinations. The nicotine in the cigarette increases the affect that alcohol has on the user. With smoking and the nicotine that can be found in it, it’s one of the most popular addictive drugs on the U.S market. When you add smoking and drinking together you have to very dangerous and flammable things. When a person drinks they loose part of their motor skills and when a person smokes they are only worried about finishing the cigarette they started.

           “Approximately 20.9% (44.5 million) adults currently smoke. Of these, 81.3% (36.1 million) smoke every day, and 18.7% (8.3 million) smoke some days.” (www.Quiteguide.com) among those who smoke everyday some of those adults go into bars for a drink and once in the bar they take a smoke. When you smoke in a bar that is filled with flammable things you risk the whole place on fire.  You also increase you risk of getting center diseases like cancer.

      Several studies have shown that Alcohol and the consumption of Cigarettes and no physical exercise increasing the chance of death in adults. When you smoke and drink in a bar you several things like if a person leaves their cigarette close to their drink and another customer comes in and accidentally knocks the other person drink they risk a fire in the bar. And for the person that smokes all the time they are very inconsiderate for the person that does not smoke they give the other person second hand smoke, which is also a very horrible. Both smoking and Alcohol when in use can be very dangerous they lower people life skills and increase many deaths in the U.S and other countries.

        Smoking in bars and restaurants should be ban because the air that is in the room of several places affect everyone around the person that is smoking and they can inhale what the person is breathing out. Second hand smoking is becoming more and more unsafe as smoking a cigarette. Second hand smoking is even more dangerous when it is inhaled by a younger person of age like a baby or a young adult.   When you go out to eat and you see a person smoking near you and you don’t really like it you go up to the person ask them if they put out their cigarette. If they decide not put out their cigarette you can always go to the manger and tell them. Also remember that smoking and drinking are very dangerous things to combine because you could just end up burning down a restaurant or even your house. 

Explain the meaning of diversity.

Diversity is the definition of being different from other people. Diversity is something that is like being different from the other person. It could be as simply as of where the person comes from or the way they look. Diversity is the key thing that makes up the country of the U.S. We are country that were founded by immigrants that then went to  becoming the most diverse population, with people search for a new place to make a family and grow as individual.Having diversity in someone community allows the person to stop being ignorant of the rumors of other races such as how they look or even how they approach other people.
Diversity in the work place could be a very good thing because it shows that the employer is a person that does not think only about one thing but about many other thing.
